~ VINTAGE ROSE SACHET GIVEAWAY ~

Hello Blogging friends! I hope you are keeping cool in this horrendously hot summer weather!
We lost power for 3 days during record setting 103 degree temps and I thought I would have a giveaway to celebrate my newly appreciated whir of the sewing machine and delightful sound of a humming airconditioner :-)
This is GIVEAWAY #19 and the winner will receive this shabby cottage chic hanging lavender sachet.

It is fashioned of vintage eggshell white damask and lace ~ embellished with a bouquet of vintage 1940's and newer millinery roses, rosebuds, assorted flowers, ribbon bows, mother of pearl buttons and a sparkling rhinestone heart charm.
The cutie is 9-1/2" including the ruffled lace flounce and when displayed from the ribbon hanger is 14-1/2" long. It's perfect for a doorknob, shelf peg, cabinet knob, etc.
The next photo shows a different sachet but it gives you an idea how cute they are just hanging around :-)

If you would like to enter, the rules are simple . . . and you have the option of receiving  up to 4 entries. At the end of the giveaway duration, each comment is numbered 1 thru ?? in order from the comments left on this Giveaway post only and the winner will be drawn August 1st, using the Random Number Generator.

~ HAPPY FATHER's DAY WEEKEND ~

Hello and how are you!!
I'd like to take a moment to wish you all a Happy Fathers Day weekend and hope you are blessed to still have your Daddy in your life!!
This first pic shows me, Dad and my brother Bobby back in the "good ole days"!

We used to go on family camping/fishing trips and I always loved this photo of Dad and me on a chilly windy day in the boonies of upstate Wisconsin.

My Dad has been gone 33 years now and I still miss him and will always be Daddy's Little Girl!
Thank you for visiting today!!

Lynn

~ ~ CHIC COTTAGE WHITE BIRDIE PILLOWS ~ ~

Hello! How are you this evening?!! I hope you are well and keeping cool in this "not even summer yet" heatwave!
I know you have all been over to Sissie's blog, Sissies Shabby Cottage and admire her creative talents and warm witty writings as much as I do!!
I can count on one hand the number of pillows that I've made in whites but she has inspired me to create a couple for you and both have the sweetest vintage bird graphics!

Please stop by my ebay listings (link at top right of blog) and take a peek if you like them!! And YES I know that my photos are awful and me thinks its time for a new camera!
Thank you so much for stopping by and come back soon because I have a new giveaway in the works :-))

Busy in Our Garden of Weeden

I hope you are all getting ready for the long Memorial Day weekend ahead!
My nephew Lucas is graduating from high school Saturday and then we are all going out for a nice dinner. The rest of the weekend is BBQ hopping :-)
I thought you may like to see some of my garden photos today so chose a couple pics to share! I'm fond of gardens with paths that meander here & there and are a little on the "wild side"! Cottage garden style with cute little accent pieces to move around as things bloom.

A rusty old chair to rest while weeding at a dead-end path.

No garden is complete without pink roses! Although I need to read labels more carefully so they do not get so big as to overgrow their trellis :-)

I like to mix contrasting colors in the garden that make each other pop!

The vintage red glider WAY in the back was a super curbside find!

My cute froggie is actually a birdfeeder and likes to hop all over the garden and hide!
I hope you enjoyed your visit today ~ please drop by again soon!

May all your weeds be wildflowers,

Lynn
